Busy Tuesday Night of Sports Action!!

SOFTBALL:

Hanover 9, Glen Allen 0 (Shannon Albright struck out eight, scattering five hits and hit a three-run homer. Erica Barrett went 3 for 4 and had three RBIs, and Shauna Kirby drove in three as well. Hanover is now 1-0 in the Capital District, 3-2 overall)

Patrick Henry 3, Douglas Freeman 0 (Emma Mitchell struck out 14 as the Patriots improved to 5-0 in the Colonial District, 7-0 overall)

Lee-Davis 3, Monacan 0 (The Confederates scratched out runs in a pitchers duel, as Amy Wingfield notched her first victory on the mound. Lee-Davis is now 2-1)

Atlee 11, Varina 0 (Raiders score five in the first inning and never look back, improving to 4-0!)

BASEBALL:

Patrick Henry 2, Douglas Freeman 0 (Kyle Palmer throws his second straight shutout, handing Freeman their first loss of the season. PH is now 4-1 in the Colonial District, 6-1 overall)

Glen Allen 4, Hanover 2 (Hawks handed their first loss of 2012 at home, now 0-1 in Capital District, 3-1 overall)
