Top National Recruit Transfers To Atlee...

Our friends at NBC12 report tonight that Ricky DeBerry, star linebacker for St. Christopher's the past two seasons, has transferred to Atlee and will suit up for the Raiders in 2014.

DeBerry currently holds scholarship offers to play college football from 48 Division I programs, including a dozen SEC schools, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Penn State and Nebraska of the Big Ten, plus North Carolina, NC State, Duke, Wake Forest, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Virginia, and Virginia Tech of the ACC.

The arrival of DeBerry will help Atlee in the loss of their defensive leader from last year, Tye Burris, now at James Madison, though expect Chad Vanlandingham to continue to be a leader of that unit.

The Raiders open their 2014 season on September 5th against Deep Run.
