FIELD HOCKEY MONDAY

Lauren Wolfgang's goal nearly midway through the second half gave Lee-Davis the winning cushion, defeating rival Hanover 2-1 Monday evening. Justine Anneveld had the other Lee-Davis goal, which was in the first half, eight minutes after Kora Kane had given the Hawks a 1-0 lead eleven minutes into the match.

Hanover fell to 3-2-1, while Lee-Davis improved to 3-2. The Hawks are off until next Monday when they host Patrick Henry, while Lee-Davis hosts Varina Tuesday, then travel to Conference 11 rival Douglas Freeman on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Atlee used the successful combination of Hayley Anna offense and Numa Rehmani goaltending to defeat Patrick Henry Monday 3-0 to improve to 4-2. Reaghan Kolb had the other goal for the Raiders.

Patrick Henry falls to 2-4, goes to Hanover next Monday, then to Glen Allen the following night. The Patriots will not play again in Ashland until October 12th.
