After an evenly matched first half, Summer Price and Katie Anderson took matters into their own hands after intermission, leading Patrick Henry to a 62-41 win over Colonial District rival Mills Godwin Tuesday evening to improve to 13-0 in the Colonial, 18-0 overall.
Price and Anderson each had five points in the first quarter, as Amber Lee struggled early with foul trouble. Giselle Winston stepped in defensively with five first quarter rebounds in relief of Lee.
Tied at 18 at the half, the Patriots went on a 6-0 run to start the third quarter and never looked back. Anderson led all scorers with 22 points, 14 in the second half, while Price scored 21, 13 in the second half.
The Patriots face another stiff in-district test Friday when they travel to Hermitage, a team that battled Patrick Henry closely in their first matchup earlier in January before the Patriots eked out a six-point win.
