At one point, Mitchell struck out 11 in a row before surrendering her first base runner of the game in the fifth inning. Patrick Henry is now 1-0, 2-0, and will have their home opener Friday afternoon in a tough matchup with Deep Run at 5:30pm.

Cody Crawley's sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning scored the winning run and the Patriots struck out the side in the bottom of the seventh to hold on for an 8-6 baseball victory over Glen Allen. The Patriots, also now 1-0, 2-0, face preseason District favorite Deep Run at home Friday at 5:30pm.
