Volleyball, JV Football.....

Thursday nights in the fall!  Here's the latest from the first Thursday of the 2012-13 school year....

JV FOOTBALL:

Hanover 7, Patrick Henry 2 (PH drove to the Hanover 5 yard line in the final minute before the Hawks intercepted a pass in the end zone to preserve the win....)
Hermitage 44, Lee-Davis 0 (The Panther assembly line doesn't seem to be slowing down...)
Atlee defeated Deep Run (still looking for a final score....)

VOLLEYBALL:

The Patriots and Confederates went head-to-head tonight; the boys in Ashland and the girls in Mechanicsville.  The home teams prevailed, both in three-set sweeps.

Patrick Henry boys were led by a strong performance by senior Scott Brigham, especially with his serving.  The Patriots remain unbeaten as they enter Colonial District play, while Lee-Davis falls to 2-2 with the Capital District on the horizon.

The Lee-Davis girls, coming off a good showing at the Virginia Volleyball Classic Labor Day weekend, swept the Patriot girls at home.....
