An up and down day for Atlee baseball.
Ryan Millican pitched a complete game and fell just short of a shutout as Benedictine trounced Atlee in the afternoon half of the first day of the Spring Break Tournament, 8-3. Adam Donohoe had two hits, scored two runs, and drove in four.
The Raiders bounced back in the nightcap of day one, taking a 6-1 lead over St. Christopher's after two innings. The Saints rebounded for six runs in the third to take a 7-6 lead, but Atlee bounced back, tying the game in the third, scoring six in the fourth, then four more in the fifth to end the game early at 17-7.
Luke Bolka pitched four innings, striking out eight. Mike Harmon went 3-for-3, scoring twice. Mitch Keeler homered, while Kenner Berry scored three runs.
Meanwhile, at Lee-Davis, Michael Thomas pitched a two-hitter, striking out 14 as the Confederates defeated Steward School in the afternoon session, 6-0.
