After getting by St. Christopher's 7-6 in the afternoon session, Lee-Davis took the field Thursday night looking for a three-game sweep in their Spring Break Tournament.
Mission accomplished.
Chad Woodell had two hits, two RBIs and scored twice while pitching by committee held the Benedictine Cadets at bay, winning 9-3. Patrick Holler pitched three innings, giving up two runs, while Adam Smith and Josh Lam pitched two innings each. Both had three strikeouts.
Lee-Davis broke open a close game with five runs in the fifth inning to put the game away.
The Confederates are now 8-3 as they await the Hanover Hawks, coming to Mechanicsville Turnpike Tuesday for a key Capital District tilt.

After spotting Steward a run in the top of the first, Atlee scored eight straight and never looked back, taking an 8-1 win in the nightcap of their second consecutive doubleheader. Atlee finished 2-2 in the tournament, having lost earlier Thursday to L.C. Bird, 7-4.
The Raiders are now 7-3 and return to District play Tuesday night at Glen Allen, a team that defeated Hanover earlier in the season.
