Tuesday's Fall Sports Results

FIELD HOCKEY:

CAPITAL DISTRICT TOURNAMENT:

Second-seeded Atlee defeated third-seeded Lee-Davis 2-1 in double overtime to advance to the District Finals where they will play top-seeded Hanover. Emily Dietrick scored the game winning goal in the second overtime period. Hanover defeated Henrico in the other semifinal match, 2-1, scoring both of their goals in the first half.

Lee-Davis finishes their season with a record of 7-6, while Atlee improves to 11-2 and Hanover to 15-2.

The Raiders and Hawks meet for the Capital District Tournament Title Thursday at 7pm.

COLONIAL DISTRICT TOURNAMENT:

Melissa Bresko scored in the second overtime to give fifth-seeded Patrick Henry a 2-1 upset over fourth-seeded J.R. Tucker in the District quarterfinals. The Patriots move on to face the top seed, the Maggie Walker Governor's School, in the semifinals at 6pm tonight.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL:

Lee-Davis 3, Armstrong 0 (L-D now 6-7 in Capital, 10-9 overall)
Patrick Henry 3, Thomas Jefferson 0 (PH now 7-7 in Colonial, 11-11 overall)

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL:

Lee-Davis 3, Armstrong 0 (L-D now 11-2 in Capital, 16-2 overall)
Patrick Henry 3, Thomas Jefferson 0 (PH now 6-9 in Colonial, 7-12 overall)
