FOOTBALL FRIDAY FINALS

Atlee 28, #9 Henrico 25: The Raiders convert a 4th and 9 with the game on the line for, not just a first down, but a touchdown, stunning the Warriors with 1:36 left, then getting a stop on defense near midfield to secure the Raiders' third win this season. They're alive in 5A North.

#5 Highland Springs 49, #10 Lee-Davis 21: On a night where things got chippy, there was too much firepower for Highland Springs as Juwan Carter threw two touchdown passes, ran for a third, and the Springers never trailed. Jamon Coffey had a 98-yard kickoff return for Lee-Davis, now 5-2 as they head to Hanover next week.

Patrick Henry 55, Armstrong 12: Patrick Henry scores five touchdowns in the first quarter to cruise past winless Armstrong on Homecoming Night. The Patriots, at 6-1, and fighting for a home playof game in 5A North, host Atlee on our Game of The Week next Friday on WHAN, 102.9 FM and online here at HanoverCountySports.net.

Varina 41, Hanover 0: The struggles for the Hawks continue, now 1-6, with Lee-Davis coming in next Friday. THe Hawks are on the verge of missing the playoffs for the first time since 2005.
